I DON’T OWN A SCANNER
Therefore I have uploaded some of the drawings I have done over the past year or so. These are the ones I remembered to photograph, however I always make the mistake of throwing them away.
BACK TO BEING A STUDENT.
So I have returned from a summer of hard work and money in my pocket and fallen into the trap of going completely the opposite way. I am penniless and it seems I have not brought my work ethic to Brighton with me. The idea of saving at the start of the summer seemed so promising but when these riches are presented to you it seems hard not to spend them. Back to a staple diet of pasta with a variety of pesto sauces and a lack of Ribena. Oh well, moaning never got you anywhere, just other people moan about you moaning, and it becomes vicious cycle.
Summer was an interesting one. As I already mentioned I worked, however, working this summer differed from any other time I worked. My first year of university seemed to present me with a greater feeling of responsibility and care for the work that I do. This may seem a shock that it only came to me at the age of 20 as I do work for a family business but the naivety of teenage life always seemed to put my social life before anything else and its funny to think that getting intoxicated on cheap cider seemed the most important thing in my life just over a year ago. Something that had a profound effect on me was when someone asked me if I was going out one evening and I replied with a simple no, they then followed with a sarcastic “Oh you have grown up now”. I thought on this and it still makes me laugh. I will always have the Peter Pan inside me. The boy who never wants to get old. Living so innocently and care free, but there comes a time when you have to take some responsibility in life, however mundane it may sound. Growing up can quite fun as long as you keep in mind nothing should be taken too seriously.
